Snapchat Stories usage has declined since the launch of Instagram Stories in August last year, Techcrunch reported.
Several reports had revealed that users have monitored less Snapchat Stores, and most reported declines in Snapchat Stories view counts ranges from 15 to 40%.
Delmondo’s CEO Nick Cicero told Techcrunch that average unique views per Snapchat Story has declined about 40% from August to November 2016, while research from TheAmplify’s CEO Justin Rezvani said view counts on Instagram Stories grows rapidly, with an open rate 28% higher than Snapchat on average in the influencer community.
According to Bloomberg, Instagram Stories has reached 150 million daily users in the 25 weeks since launch, which is the same number of users that Snapchat’s whole app hit in June last year.
